Day 28: "Look At Me...Just Once..."

"Happiness is what I see in his smile."
That was about the hundredth time.
Hundredth time she cried while calling me.
The least I could do was listen to her.
I couldn't do anything more.
It wasn't the same as before.
I used to run to her house,
she used to run to mine.
But now, how is that possible?
All I can really do,
is listen.
"He didn't look at me, not even once."
She saw him clearly,
he was by himself.
She was the only one there,
just passing by.
As usual, he would look up and smile.
As usual, she would wave at him.
But not today.
She called out his name,
but he turned away,
walking off by himself.
She never called him by his name.
Because today, was her "special" day.
"I ran and chased him, but he was gone before I knew it."
The only thing left to say was,
"Look at me, please. Just once, why won't you look at me?
